DR. SCOTT RUPPERT, psy. d.
OWNER
Dr. Ruppert is Clinical Psychologist licensed to practice in the state of New York. He is the founder of Ruppert Psychology Services. Born and raised in the Buffalo area, he received his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology at Medaille College in Buffalo, NY.
Dr. Ruppert completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center, an inpatient hospital for adults with severe and persistent mental illness and his post-doctoral training with the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Prior, Dr. Ruppert also earned a Master of Social Work degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Canisius College. Dr. Ruppert focused his education on the assessment and treatment of mental illness with a focus on child and adolescent mental health.
Dr. Ruppert has experience working in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient mental health, residential treatment, juvenile justice, and community-based programs. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Medaille College teaching courses in Psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Ruppert is currently employed full-time by the New York State Office of Mental Health at the Western New York Children’s Psychiatric Center’s Day Treatment Center. He provides individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents with significant mental health difficulties as well as psychodiagnostic assessment services at the Day Treatment Center. Dr. Ruppert also supervises pre-doctoral interns and practicum students in this role.
Dr. Ruppert had a very successful private practice for a number of years before returning to state service. He continues to see patients on a part-time basis at his private practice and provides post-doctoral supervision and consultation services as well.

DR. jessica dehlinger, psy. d.
POST-DOCtoral FELLOW
Dr. Dehlinger is a Clinical Psychologist with a New York State Limited License, practicing under the supervision of Dr. Ruppert while completing post-doctoral requirements for full licensure. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program at D’Youville University.
Dr. Dehlinger’s education and clinical training have centered on the assessment and treatment of mental illness across the lifespan. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Western New York Children’s Psychiatric Center, a New York State Office of Mental Health facility, providing comprehensive care to children, adolescents, and families across inpatient and outpatient settings. Prior to pursuing her doctorate in clinical psychology, she earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology and Methodology from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Dehlinger has experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in a range of clinical settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs, medical and school-based environments, college counseling, and community mental health. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Medaille University, where she taught introductory courses in Psychology at the undergraduate level.
